The moment we’ve been waiting for is finally here— the first wave of tickets for The Hobbits Hoedown 2025 are now on sale! Whether you’re returning to us or a brand-new burrow-dweller, now's your chance to grab a spot at this years game.
This year, we’re bringing you freshly updated family lore, an extra half-day to ease into the swing of things and a whole bundle of new and returning delights—like the brand-new Craft Showcase (previously the Heirloom Exhibition), and the exciting return of our beloved Show & Tale and sack racing from years past! But more on those details later.
Not in the position to purchase your ticket yet? That's alright too! Every year we split our ticket sales into two waves so to give you a little more time if May isn't right for you, the next one will be in about a months time on the 7th June.
Still not quite sure what our game is all about?
Here’s a handy little recap of everything you can find over on the rest of our website to help you get your bearings:
"Every year, four lively Hobbit families—the Bluffwaters from Mosswick in the North, the Fairmeadows from Blossombrooke in the East, the Tallows from Oakenburrow in the West, and the Higglebys from Barkhollow Warren in the South—all gather at the exact centre of the county, where their borders meet, during the transition from Spring to Summer. This has been a long-loved tradition for generations, as they celebrate the turning of the seasons, the health of family & friends, the glory of bragging rights for their family and all-around showcasing the best of all Hobbitses. It started as a lovely outing between friends and grew to include more family and friends until it was simply too large to be so infrequent in planning. Another problem was, too many Hobbits felt snubbed if they simply weren’t thought of upon invitation. Well, that sorted it. It’d have to happen so that everyone would receive an invite, with not too little notice. Since then, the families have become (rivalries aside) fast friends.
The event celebrates the turning of Spring to Summer, the health of family and friends and good-natured competition."
So don’t dawdle— tickets sell out fast, and you won’t want to miss out on the dancing, feasting, storytelling, and shenanigans we’ve got planned.
Event dates: Friday 21 November - Sunday 23 November
Location: Britannia Park, 210 Britannia Creek Road, Wesburn 3799

Please note: minor changes to this schedule may be required

We can’t wait to see you in your finest waistcoat and straw hat!
