Our event is not for profit, which means this event is brought to life each year entirely by volunteers dedicating countless hours of work.
Behind every Hobbits Hoedown stands a team of dedicated volunteers and organizers who labour tirelessly to ensure its success each year. From the careful planning stages to the hands-on creation of set decorations, activities and props, along with the administrative tasks of managing this website, our social media, organizing our insurance and venue logistics, booking venues and preparing workshops and caterers, not to mention the fortnightly meetings - our team invests countless hours to ensure each event is unforgettable year after year. ​​

The Hoedown event organizers are the same year to year. They find, pick up, and spin every plate that is required keep this game running while every year trying to make it better than the last.

Prep Team
Our prep team are a more recent development to our event, hard working and eager hobbits that have shown dedicated efforts to make this event better with their various skills and labour. We created a prep team that are able to be called upon for all the pre-event work relative to set and activities. Did we read through the previous event feedback and realize we need 10 picnic tables built from old pallets before the next event? Evelyn & the prep team coordinate working bees to get it done.
